Story
he film begins with the administering the onset of spacecraft propulsion of Indian remote sensing satellite which intends to help the scientists to identify the fertile land for agriculture. Within the same forest range of satellite operation, the forest department runs a NCC camp for women cadets. The cadets who initially show irreverence to their trainer Dhuruvan (Jayam Ravi), however later realize his philanthropic and altruistic nature and cooperate with him. Dhuruvan is a Scheduled tribe and who is allegedly depicted for being positioned as a cadet officer in the forest security force through reservation system by his senior officer Gnanapathiram (Ponnvannan) throughout the film. But Dhuruvan's organization and social living with other tribes in the forest abnegates aboriginal allegations by other forward caste officials and cadets in the department. Dhuruvan provides education to the tribal children and saves people from a man-eating tiger. The expedition into the forest begins with the selection of five women NCC cadets for forest training. Dhuruvan signs for taking responsibility of five girls he assigns for the expedition. But the devious girls already posted a complaint letter to Ganapathiram claiming no safety with the journey along Dhuruvan. When Dhuruvan clears the procedures in the check post, the girls non-chanlantly drive the jeep and collide into the down slope of the hill. After having lost the vehicle, the troops decide to stay back in the forest to go by the alternate way by the next morning. But the plot thickens, when Kalpana (Vasundhara) describes two white men with advanced armaments in the Indian forest heading towards of Indian satellite research station in the forest. Dhuruvan makes plans to defeat the operation of the Mafia and judges their routes by his perspicacious understanding of map of the jungle. He sends back a girl to inform the officials and other four join him in the encounter of Mafia. At the beginning, he manages to lodge their troop ahead of mafia by his navigation acumen. Later he deliberately obstructs the movement of mafia by cutting the trees to distract them. Anderson (Roland Kickinger) who heads the Mafia decides to stay back until a clear notion from the opposite side. He deploys two of his men to the counter part and investigates the situation. But, Duruvan’s troops are very successful in killing the two men and further retarding the mafia. Anderson sends another three men to the opposite side to know the situation of two guys he has sent, on the other hand Dhuruvan’s troop was eagerly looking for them to collect their armaments. When Anderson finds that he has lost five of his guys, he decides to kill whoever obstructs him and to move further. But, Dhuruvan troops have cleverly planted the land mines that they previously grappled from the five they encountered. As per their expectation, a man from the mafia steps on the land mine and dies. On that night, Dhuruvan’s troops plan to break into their camp and to seize at least one box of two that they expect to contain information about a counter air missile. He distracts several men in the Mafia and kills them and loots one box from them. Meanwhile Anderson and his sidekick went to exhume the land mines some miles away. By the morning, Anderson finds most of his men are dead and is enraged at Dhuruvan. On the other side, Ganapathiram gathers his team and creates allusions against Dhuruvan among the public. He receives encounter orders against Dhuruvan from the collector. He finds Ajitha's body in the man hole of the river (previously sent by Dhuruvan to inform about Mafia to the Army, however trapped into the man hole on her expedition and dies) and gains evidence as Dhuruvun must have killed her. Ganapathiram on the way, finds Dhuruvan and tries to shoot him, but Dhruvan escapes this. He later realizes the situation by seeing the corpses of the terrorists and inform the Army head that he killed the terrorists and promises him to hand over the dead bodies. Dhuruvan now killed almost all of his enemies except Anderson and another guy at counter missile sight. Anderson, this time gets an opportunity to kill his enemy from Dhuruvan troop by identifying their secret signals. At climax, Dhuruvan and Anderson fights face to face and other girls tries to abandon the projection of counter missile towards Indian space rocket. Awesome and breath taking fight between the men ends in killing Anderson by Dhuruvan. Dhuruvan finally reaches the sights and helps the girls, he increase the time set of the rocket by 25 seconds and changes the direction of missile. Indian space rocket gets ejected from the station and speeds up in the atmosphere, on the other hand, the counter missile diverted from its direction bursts into desolate forest. The troop prides themselves for being successful on their mission. At the end of the movie, Ganapathiram is being awarded by the Indian government for his bravery acts to save the nation. It is well depicted that the dominance of upper caste segment over the lower class people is still in existent in the Great Republic of India.
