Story
The film's plot revolves around CBI officer Kanthasamy, along with his friends, granting the wishes of the needy people who write letters to a local Lord Muruga Temple, disguised like an anthropomorphic chicken. During a CBI income tax raid, he discovers that Ponnusamy, a rich entrepreneur, has plenty of black money. To escape the questioning, Ponnusamy pretends to be paralyzed. The event angers his daughter Subbulakshmi and goes after Kanthasamy, pretending to love him,(Subbulakshmi didn't know that her father was pretending to be paralyzed) seeking revenge. Kanthasamy knew that subbulakshmi was pretending to be in love with him acts with her. This forms a cat and mouse chase between the two. Vadivelu does his sensational role in the field of comedy in this film. While he is also sought after by a local police inspector who tries to solve the mystery of "Lord Muruga saving the people," the fate of Kanthasamy's disguise leads into the climax of the story. Finally he brings out the truth that the CBI in the role behind the secret work of helping the needy people but he can't prove it. Kanthasamy finds the password of subbulakshmi's family account in accessing the black money of her family which is illegally saved. He revealed the password and answers for the security questions from subbulakshmi indirectly. Kanthasamy finally transfers the money to his account which would be used for helping the poor needy people. Subbulakshmi's father got paralyzed at the end knewing that the password which was used by him to access his black money was changed. The story quite has a feel of Tamil movie Sivaji "The boss"(coincidentally another Shriya starrer),Ramana and Anniyan(another Vikram starrer).
